After being educated for a period of fifteen years in a bilingual Spanish-English environment in Buenos Aires and gaining early work experience in various fields, I knew I wanted to become a teacher. I took advantage of the opportunity to teach in the U.K. and experience “for real” the culture and language about which I had learned so much during my education, and pursued internationally recognised teaching qualifications. Thereafter, I devoted my professional life to teaching both Spanish and English in Cadiz. I have worked in more than nine language schools on the Bay of Cadiz during the last nine years, mainly teaching English and Spanish. During the last three years I gained valuable first-hand experience in the field, teaching an average of thirty-one hours per week. This was really intense, but at the same time it proved to be a character-building experience. Through the rapport I have with students in class and the positive feedback I get from students after class, I gained the needed momentum to become both the local coordinator and teacher at MFL.
Our English classes
We use the communicative approach, encouraging students to use the language they are learning. We have a maximum of 4 students per class and therefore challenge each student to achieve their academic potential. Young learners are carefully guided to discover and express a positive attitude towards the language, while teenagers and adults are given the tools to further ellaborate on the use of the language and express it with confidence. As well as monitoring the development of the student’s receptive and productive skills and organising thourough exam practice sessions, our clases also help students expand their vocabulary and grammar scope.
Dates and prices
- Due to the great approval of our English classes, the only available days until the end of the 2017-2018 academic year are Mondays and Wednesdays from 20:30 a 22:00.
- Price per hour: €15
- Preparation course for Cambridge and Trinity exams A2, B1, B2, C1 & C2: 80€ per month, limited to four students per class.
